Chatbots
Users with Chatbot read access but no write access can inspect configuration, but cannot change AI knowledge, memory, tools, or settings.
Wabot Chatbots are AI-powered assistants that handle customer conversations on your WhatsApp number 24/7. They understand context, respond to text/images/voice, remember user details across sessions, and seamlessly hand off to a human when needed.
Where to Find It
Sidebar → CORE → Chatbots — https://app.wabot.io/dashboard/chatbots

Set Up Your First AI Chatbot
Use this sequence for a safe first launch:
- Connect the WhatsApp account the chatbot will use.
- Go to CORE → Chatbots and select that account.
- Open Configure Setting and choose AI mode.
- Write the AI Role Guide / Persona: business name, supported languages, products or services, tone, rules, and when to hand over to a human.
- Enable the required AI features, such as knowledge, memory, voice transcription, or vision.
- Add and wait for processing of the knowledge files the bot should use.
- Configure human-transfer conditions and an escalation destination.
- Test the behavior in AI Playground with realistic customer questions.
- Publish or save the reviewed configuration, then monitor feedback gaps and Live Chat conversations after launch.
Begin with a focused use case, such as product FAQ or lead qualification. Add new instructions and knowledge only after testing them. A smaller, clear persona is easier to validate than an unrestricted bot.
Chatbot Instance (Summary Page)
When you click on a connected account, you land on the Chatbot Summary page. This is your command center for a single WhatsApp number's chatbot:

The summary page is divided into four main sections:

| Model | LLM model in use | gpt-4.1 · Wabot |
| Reply Format | How replies are formatted | Formatted · Temp: 0.3 |
| Context | Conversation history length | 50 messages · Human Agent: On |
| Features | Enabled AI capabilities | Vision, STT |

- Check its current Run Chatbot status.
- Use the status control to start or stop chatbot processing for that account.
